In order to better serve our customers and our community,
MSD provides the following materials for download. The Wastewater
Engineering Division (WWE), for instance, has Design and Mapping Sections
which work with developers, contractors and residents to determine the
specifications and locations for sewer projects. In association with these
goals, MSD is pleased to offer the files below for your use. If you have
any questions about these products, please contact the MSD
webmaster for referral to the appropriate persons.
Legal & Organizational Documents
- Rules &
Regulations: This document defines MSD's jurisdiction and authority.
Its glossary also defines many terms associated with the wastewater
collection and treatment industry.
- SMU Rules
& Regulations:
This document contains the Rules & Regulations of the City of Cincinnati's
Stormwater Management Utility (SMU).
- Operating Budget: MSD's annual Operating Budget as approved by the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners.
- Capital
Budget and Capital Improvement Program: Each year MSD's divisions
meet to discuss and develop the coming year's Capital Improvement Program
(CIP).
- Annual
Report: MSD's 2002 report on activities and achievements
is available.
- Consent
Decree: Information on these important legal agreements involving
MSD, the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County and the US Environmental
Protection Agency.
Operational Documents, Forms & Data
- Permits and Records:
Forms related to Tap Permits, Sewer Tappers and Septic Haulers, administered
by Wastewater Engineering's Mapping & Records section. (For industrial
permits, see "Industrial User Forms & Reference" below.)
- GPS
Data: MSD's original internet project, this site is now hosted
by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS). MSD's
Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) provides Global
Positioning System (GPS) data in conjunction with NGS-affiliated
sites throughout the county. The NGS site contains files compatible
with the RINEX standard in use by many geographic and surveying
professionals worldwide. For more information on MSD's GPS project,

- MSD
CAD Standard & Standard Drawings: MSD's Auto-CAD Standard documents, including the Computer Aided Drafting Manual and the full set of MSD Standard Drawings. Drawings are in AutoCAD-compatible .dwg
format. The pages contain a link to free viewers for
.dwf and .dwg files.
- SMU
Standard Drawings: Standard Drawings for the City of Cincinnati's
Stormwater Management Utility (SMU) are also available in formats
similar to MSD's Standard Drawings, above.

- Construction Contracts:
Information and documents for current capital improvement projects.
- Industrial User
Forms & Reference: Some businesses must meet specific requirements
before discharging to MSD's system. This section contains regulations,
forms and guidance material relating to these matters.
- Radar Rainfall Data: Uncalibrated rainfall
data used in conjunction with MSD's System Wide Model
project.
- CCTV Specifications: Technical requirements for contractors performing closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections of MSD facilities and structures.
