Cincinnati, September 19, 2007 - The Board of County Commissioners recently approved funding for the Wulff Run Replacement Sewer. Managed by the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD), a construction contract has been awarded to Larry Smith Contractors, Cleves, Ohio. Construction is scheduled to begin September 15, 2007 and is expected to be completed by May 15, 2008.
This project will provide a separate storm sewer for the neighborhood along Erie Avenue, Broadview Drive, and Country Club Place and relieve the basement flooding problems during heavy rains. The project will involve the installation of 2,778 feet of storm sewer ranging in size from 12 inch diameter to 48 inch diameter. The awarded construction cost of the project is $269,303.75.
This project is part of MSD's ongoing Capital Improvement Program (CIP), which is focused on continually updating and improving the operation of MSD's wastewater collection and treatment systems.
