Capital Improvement Program

Each year the divisions of the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) meet to discuss and develop the coming year's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The divisions of MSD, governmental and municipal agencies, environmental concerns, and public interests generate projects. New projects and those from previous years are rated and assigned a priority based on the needs of MSD. The prioritization process is updated each year to meet ever-changing demands. MSD is addressing two Consent Decrees to improve its infrastructure, assets, and the quality of the area's water.
